For an advertising class I once took we were required to research an ad agency, any ad agency, and write a brief description on it. I chose Ogilvy. I since have become thoroughly entranced by the agency. It’s mission, goals, creativity and caring has mesmerized me. Of all the agencies I have researched, and I have Googled my fare share, Ogilvy clearly sets themselves ahead of the pack, in my opinion.
But you researched Ogilvy for an advertising class and this is a PR blog, why should I care about Ogilvy, you ask? Well not only is Ogilvy an advertising agency (Ogilvy & Mather,) it is an interactive agency, marketing agency and PR agency.
For the purpose of this blog I will focus on Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide, an international communications firm with offices worldwide. And, when I say “worldwide,” I really mean it. Ogilvy PR has offices spanning the globe: 8 locations in the United States alone, from Los Angeles, to Atlanta to New York; offices in Latin America; Over 20 locations in Europe; a handful in India; East Asia; the Pacific Islands; Australia; and over 10 offices in the Middle East.
Ogilvy works wonders on high profile cases with recognizable brands. Currently, Ogilvy PR is tackling case studies for companies such as, adidas, American Idol, BAND-AID, LG Electronics and Pizza Hut, just to name a few. Ogilvy PR is able to work wonders on such high profile cases because of it’s range of communication services. Ogilvy offers seven global communications practices, including consumer marketing, corporate, healthcare, social marketing, public affairs, technology and entertainment.


The predominate reason for why I am so entranced by the Ogilvy agency stems from the company’s values. Ogilvy’s commitment to client service is grounded in tradition. David Ogilvy shaped the firm’s foundation almost a quarter century ago and none of his core values have been lost. David Ogilvy preached and practiced his philosophy, creativity and commitment to clients. Ogilvy PR still prides itself on being partners with each and every client.
